What is an Outright market?
An Outright bet is made when predicting something to happen over an entire Tournament, not just one game.
We have a number of exciting Outright markets for you to get stuck into even before this World Cup has kicked off. This includes 'Stage of Elimination' and the 'Golden Ball' winner, or, if you are confident you know who is going to claim the ultimate prize, use our 'To Win Outright' market to back your decision.
On some markets, you can also bet Each Way, with the place terms of the market being located on your bet slip. This would mean that your bet would still return even if your selection narrowly misses out on all the spoils.
What happens if my player gets subbed off?
Continue your bet with the Sub On, Play On feature.
If you’ve placed a pre-match single or multiple bet on any Player market and your player is substituted, your bet will roll over to their replacement with no change in odds. If your substituted player meets the bet requirements, we’ll settle your selection as a winner, provided the outcome of the bet is not already known.
What happens to my bet if the match goes to Extra Time?
Previously, your bet would have been settled as a loss, but now bets on player markets with the 'ET Includes Extra Time' label will carry over to extra time if the game is level after 90 minutes (excluding penalty shootouts). So, if you've bet on a player to Score at Any Time and they score in extra time, your bet will be settled as a win.

Important Tip
Match markets are still settled within 90 minutes plus stoppage time, which you can see by the '90+ stoppage time' label.
What is VAR and how does it impact my bet?
The VAR (Video Assistant Referee) assists with game-changing decisions during a match. This includes, goals, penalties and for the World Cup only, second yellow cards and corners.
This can lead to voided bets, cash out being unavailable and the time it takes for a market to settle.
